I genuinely do not know what to say about Magic for Beginners. Well, I read it for my book club, that's one thing. Another: it's a collection of short stories, all fantasy in genre, most of them on the realistic end of the scale but all of them deeply strange nonetheless. It's just... it's a very odd book.
